Title: Riders hit on Deer Springs Jan. 28
Post by: Paul Nevins on February 03, 2012, 11:33:52 AM
Kelly, this is the email I got from my friend at the North County Times:
'I can't find a Sunday copy of the paper here, but I found this information about the Jan. 28 accident in our system:
REGION ---- Two bicyclists suffered moderate injuries Saturday when a vehicle collided with a group of riders, authorities said.

Firefighters with Deer Springs Fire Protection District responded about 11:30 a.m. to a report of a collision near the intersection of Deer Springs Road and southbound Interstate 15, a fire official said.

The injured people were taken by ambulance to a hospital, the official said.'

Is this the same road where rednecks in a pickup truck chucked cans of beer at us last year?

Nerius, the beer (3/4 full can of Coors) went whizzing between Rex and me on Old Castle.  If it wouldn't have been 9:15 in the morning, and if it would have been a bottle of wine I would have thought about stopping and finishing it off. -- As it was, I think Sean slowed down to check.  ;)

Deer Springs gets tight.  I hope the riders are OK.  Do we know if it was another club?
