Got in a good 2hr loop with a nice view of our wet dominion from Double Peak. Unfortunately, no Wade to scribe, no Paul to photograph, and no other ex-Portlandites or any crazy NC3'ers to join me. So, Sean, nothing or no one to prove or disprove any conspiracy theory.
It will be another adventure tomorrow for some kind of variation on the planned Sunday ride. I'll be there, rain or shine (forget the latter). Bring an attitude - rain gear and fenders help, too, if you want something different.
Karl
Karl, I almost went up there this morning. It had to be a wonderful view with the storm coming in.
I have to work tomorrow (and besides, I fear the rain) or I would join you. My plan is an early morning at the office followed by a brunch in Del Mar. Fear not, I will toast you with my mimosa while warm and dry at Burlap.
Sunday alternative: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1009604 no rain - sunny and windy - 2 minutes of hail on Craven at end...
How many brave souls, of which I wasn't one, joined you Karl? My thin skin and fender free soul should see all next week.
Bill, wash your hands frequently this week, we don't want our ride leader infected by his students again and no show.
Anthony - it was me, myself, and I... the 3 of us had a blast 8)
Karl,
You are one devoted cyclist. I bow to your cycling in the threat of rain prowess.
Frankly, I think Wade's idea of mimosas at Burlap was a better option. Then again I also avoid riding in the snow, the heat, the mud, and on hills. I need to work on my motivation.
