Title: Saturday Annual Club Century Overview...
Post by: kellyjay on July 12, 2009, 04:15:57 AM
Thanks to Jeff Gross for another epic club century ride.
16 riders started at OCRR, including 2 tandem teams.

The "hammerfest" through Camp Pendleton and down the coast was something else.
Dan P. and Rex the Trek, followed by Karla's tandem + Wally led the riders up the final climbs on Rancho Santa Fe.
These dudes were ON IT in full race mode!!!

Most riders survived quite well, as the temps were't too bad along the coast. But the foot traffic by the beaches was something else.

I was doing the" ride ahead and do the photo shoot thing" and got taken out by a mom pushing a jogger baby stroller on the bridge overlooking SLR Bike Path!! One leg is better than none!

I'll have the pics up(plus captions...hehe) at Karls Gallery later in the week.

thanks to all riders for their efforts,
kelly

Kelly,

Sorry I missed it.  If I knew you were going, I would have joined in.  With the responses I got, It seemed as though the group would number five at best.

So it looks to me like Kelly rode past the group, took pictures, waited until everyone went by, then rode past the group and did it again. Now that's a hard man!!
Congratulations to all of you!! Wish I was with you. Probably the Lantern Rouge would have been my place.
