Title: Hill is Not a 4-letter Word
Post by: Jeff Gross on July 20, 2010, 08:27:28 AM
This Saturday, July 24, is my signature Hill is Not a 4-letter Word ride, with over 6000 ft of climbing in 40 miles. Moved to summer when our climbing legs are in shape, it has as much elevation gain as I can manage without doing repetitions or hilltop turnarounds (Double Peak is an exception). Put your mountain bike pedals on your road bike so you can join me for the unaved version. It requires two short rocky ascents of about 50 ft that most of us will want to walk up, but the back roads will rejuvenate your spirits. The alternative is a hillier all-pavement version that climbs the dreaded Coronado Hills. See you Saturday.

Another fantastic ride and route from Jeff.

This is the best ride the club does.

For those that have not attempted it before, it's a must do.

Several flats, lost sunglasses and a day behind Big John, who could ask for more!

Thanks again Jeff.

ps, this needs to be in the rotation more often!
