Title: It's time for pie! (the ride)
Post by: robert#5639 on October 13, 2010, 06:56:32 PM
Sunday, November 7, 2010. A group of intrepid souls will be departing Escondido for a journey into interesting parts. Challenge your mind and body! Make the mountains your youknowwhat. Departing at 7 AM from the Starbucks, 302 West Valley Parkway, Escondido. (Across from the movie theatre, plenty of parking there or at the bus/train station 2 blocks west). East out of town through Valley Center, over Palomar to Santa Ysabel via Mesa Grande. Enjoy some hot pie and other foods. Old Julian Highway to Ramona, then Highland Valley all the way and up into Escondido to finish. Randonneuring pace (not in a hurry but not lagging). Route slips will be provided should anyone feel the need for one.

Updated the map and it has a cue slip you can print out if it's needed.

Looks like the weather has calmed down and should be nice. Probably be a small group as a few of the guys are unable to make it. Anyhow, if any of you still want to tag along, I'll be there and ready to go. Don't forget to set your clocks back and enjoy that extra hour of sleep.
