Title: Dudleys - Borrego - Montezuma Sunday ride cancelled
Post by: karlos on November 19, 2010, 08:36:31 AM
All - weather conditions for this Sunday look bleak. Check this forecast for Julian (http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=92036&hourly=1&yday=324&weekday=Sunday). It looks like temps  between 31 and 40 deg, mostly rain, and 27 mph winds. It would be best to just cancel it for this weekend. I would like to reschedule this ride for the first good weather weekend following - will post on this Message Board. Also, if you want to be notified personally by email when we reschedule if you are not a regular Sat or Sun rider, press the Contact Us button, shoot me an email, and I will make sure you get notified if/when we can squeeze this ride in.

I will show up at OCRR this Sunday at 8:30 and we can improvise if it looks like we can get a dry ride in. We can at least get a cup of coffee if it's raining.

Sorry - this is one of my favorite rides, too...

OK - Ursula and I did have a cup of coffee, but at Bates Nut Farm. The only really enjoyable part of the ride was the Lake Wohlford climb, only a slight drizzle and very calm at climbing speed with no traffic to speak of. Three hours of drenched riding in Gore-Tex...thoroughly invigorating  ;)
