Now that daylight savings has begun, is there any word on the Tuesday evening rides? Or how about Thursday evening rides? Or, if these were not official...is there any interest in either of these evenings from the rest of the group. Would love to get a regular evening ride going this summer.
This was discussed at Monday's board meeting. The Del Mar Highlands Tue night ride will begin first Tuesday in April and the notice will be on both the Home and Roadies pages during the April ride update. The first time, 2 years ago, that DST was moved to mid-March, we tried starting right away and those first couple weeks were just too dark to accommodate our usual 5:30-7:00, 22-25 mi rides.
Also, in years past, there have been rides starting at other locations, Magee Park in Carlsbad, Home Depot in Escondido to name a couple. Anyone who can't make it to Del Mar Highlands and wants to start a group closer to where they live or work is welcome to try. I will definitely post it on the Roadies page under Tuesday night rides, which will appear once again in April.
