NCCC Training Ride invite,
Rincon del Diablo ("Devil's Corner") was a Mexican land grant given to Juan Bautista Alvarado in 1843.
We'll be departing "Devil's Corner"* at 0600, this Saturday, May 28 and heading out to the desert past San Gregorio before returning via Banner back to Escondido.
The Permanent route is 243K/151mi , and has around 11K of climbing.
Please email me for full docs or post up.
Looks like another good workout, rando style.

* Start at AM/PM, Deer Springs Rd./I-15, Escondido
Once again...Riders have to be wise & flexible:
Due to the Weather Warning of blowing dust and winds to 50mph in the desert, the Rando Permanent Training Ride will be changed to "Santa Rosa Plateau" instead.
This is another new route in the process.
Enough climbing toward the end.
This pre-ride starts 0600 on Saturday at the O'side Transit Center, near the Sprinter Station/parking lot.
257K/160mi .
Mike Berry's description of the route:
Starting in Oceanside, CA., riders pass through Camp Pendleton before following bike paths up to San
Clemente and Dana Point. From there, it's the scenic Coast Highway up to Newport Beach, where
riders will turn inland on the Santa Ana River Trail to Corona. Then it's southbound on lightly traveled
roads around the highest Peak in Orange County toward Lake Elsinore.
Climbing up to the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Preserve will reward riders with minimal traffic as
they hit a few double digit climbs rolling through DeLuz Canyon on the way to Fallbrook. More rollers
on the way southward through farm fields and the final cruise on the San Luis Rey Bike Path to the
coast and the finish!
With around 6000ft of climbing, this route offers lots of scenery and three major Bike Paths as it
passes through three southern California counties. This route is based on two popular 2011 local
Brevets: SD Solana Beach 300K and the PCH Orange County 300K.
