Title: Hill is NOT a 4 letter word elevation gain??
Post by: Anthony Scozzari on July 23, 2011, 03:34:06 PM
Ride with GPS said ~6,900 feet but most of us got around 5,800 ft on our Garmins.  I uploaded to Garmin Connect and applied "elevation correction" and it gave 7,150 feet.  I'm going with that if anyone asks me!   ;)

My knees agree with you. And so do I.

Well shoot, I missed out. No really I'm pretty unhappy I missed the ride today. Stuck at work.

Yeah felt like 7,000' or more.  Nice ride (thanks Jeff) but I did come up with some other 4 letter words to describe it today!

I've got a cheer which goes with this ride. And yes, it is four letters. Wait till next year before the ride start! The unpaved was comfy but slow on an MTB. At least I cleaned the Atterbury stretch, but so did Bill Fagan on his cross bike. Looking for something lighter to ride next year.
Great ride, Jeff - still keep the trails option from San Marcos up to Double Peak a possibility.

I also got 7000K corrected from Garmin Connect.

As always, what a terrific ride, for those that haven't done this ride, its a must. There are always bail-out options at the bottom of most of the climbs.

As I found out, if your're having a less than stellar day, the group will wait for you. Thanks to all that waited for me!
