Saturday long riders, at this point, my weather app says the rain will start with a 33% chance at noon with increasing percentage chance as the afternoon continues on Saturday. I think it is prudent to cancel and/or alter the scheduled long ride of 80 miles taking us into De Luz.

I am suggesting an alternative route of 47 miles with some good climbing (5,800) while never being far from the starting point, just in case it does rain, and we/I want to call it quits.

I will most likely be at the start of the ride and I reserve the right to choose not to ride if the conditions are questionable.

The last Clippers ride of the year is threatened by rain. However, current forecast shows that the rain will start around 11 am. So I propose a somewhat shortened ride of 36 miles cutting out parts of the previously planned route; load this down or just follow the ride leader = https://ridewithgps.com/routes/41683631 ("On a shorter mission").

Looking at the forecast for Sunday, rain may slow down to nothing by 8:30 am but over an inch is forecast on Saturday so the Forest Rd will be muddy and unpleasant. Let's just cancel this for another time. We want to have good weather for this unique route.

The NCCC Sunday planned New Years epic out the Forest Rd from Murrietta, returning through La Cresta, will likely be cancelled. Please check here for an update before heading to the start. Weather does not look good.
