Due to a change in personal schedules Bill Turek will be leading the ride today using the April 21st route indicated on the schedule. The route is also posted here in the Forum.

The ride I was going to lead today will be moved to the 21st.

Now, as I write this it's 6:22 AM on Saturday, and the weather outside looks frightful. Any one who knows me also know that rain and riding do not mix for me and there is a good chance I will be with Wade at Burlap for brunch and mimosas. That is assuming Wade is treating.

Thanks Sean. I owe you a mimosa at Burlap (whatever that is), or at least a bottle of night train in a paper bag. Hope the weather is better for you next weekend!

Well, it seems Bill was missing from this ride as well.  He had better have a valid excuse and explain to us hearty (only 5 of us) souls why he was missing from HIS RIDE.  Jim did an excellent job leading us on a counter clockwise route. Oh, who were those hearty true cyclists out there today...Jim, Karl, Anthony, Steve and myself.

Sean's excuse of melting whenever any cloud that is darker than white appears, is valid.  He has warned us that the use of his $500 rain jacket will never happen and the reason he lives in sunny Southern California is so that he can ride his bike basking in the sun.  Plus, he wants that shiny bike of his to stay permanently clean and obviously today's ride would have thrown a kink into his routine.

We did get wet today, but who cares.  We didn't freeze or lose our toes, and no one "pulled a Sean."  It was a great ride.

What in the world happened today?  Sean, I know you can't handle the rain but we needed, as Ursala has pointed out, your wide load of a behind to block the wind for us!!  Riding behind Ursla and Jim wasn't very helpful to conserving my energy, we needed you today, Curly!!  Of course yo butt got big from being lazy, sitting on the couch, eating bon bos every time it's a little wet, or snow, or wind, or out dringking too much, or it's too hot.....on and on and on and on!

And Bill, what happened?  You're a Pie Ride 1 finisher, not a Sean, I figured a lttle wind with sprinkles for only half the ride was right up you're alley!

Nonetheless, we had a good time today and you both were missed.  I'm off looking for the right college for my long haired son next Sat but I should be out on Sunday.  Don't forget my ID, don't forget my ID, don't forget my ID.

Moe, peace and out

Anthony, that hurts although I did wait for the skies to clear a bit before heading out yesterday afternoon. Next week's change is out of my control!
