Riders,
Join us in a ride to Palomar Mt. on November 22, starting at 07:00.
We'll be leaving the new Mobil Mart on Hwy. 101, near LaCosta Ave and taking the short shot route to Palomar Mt. Via So. Grade Rd. The return will be via EAST Grade Road, Santa Ysabel, Ramona, Rancho Bernardo back to the coast. 203km/126mi.

This isn't a RACE! We'll have several refuel stops along the way and be in "cruise mode".
This is a new RUSA approved route, so there will be some Randos riding also. This will be the inaugural ride!
Not to worry. If you start the ride, you'll get back A-OK.

If you have any Questions?, please ask,

thanks, and see you at the next club ride,
kelly

PS: SS and Fixies welcome too!

Kelly,

Sounds like a great ride!  Count me in.  Better flip that rear wheel around!

Which route are you taking out to Palomar?
I live real close to the start and interested in going, but also want to go on Burt's LaCresta ride the following day.
Too bad they are on the same weekend.
I recently did a similar ride and took Del Dios, Via Rancho, Summit, Citrus, Lake Wohlford, Valley Center and it worked out pretty good.

Outbound we'll  be riding LaCosta Ave, through San Marcos, Escondido, Lake Wohlford.
Return via East Grade Rd, Santa Ysabel, Ramona, Highland Valley Rd., Fairbanks Ranch, Encinitas

NOTE: The 10-day weather forecast looks very good.
BE PREPARED: Riders should bring a lite jacket and/or arm/leg warmers, front & rear light and 2 bottles.

This is  a great opportunity for riders to experience Palomar Mt. at a non-race pace and ride some roads the club normally doesn't include.

Kelly has got this ride very well planned out.  The weather should be nice and it will help you prepare (burn some calories) for the big Thanksgiving meal to follow a few days later.
