Tuesday and/or Thursday After work rides?

Anyone thinking about Tuesday and/or Thursday after work rides yet in North County, now that we have some light. I know it's early in the year, just checkin.

Hi Wayne, good to hear from you!

Yeah, I was asking about Tuesday evening rides at the board meeting yesterday evening.  I'm certainly up for a Tuesday and/or Thursday evening ride beginning next week (my ride schedule this week is already planned and packed.)

The regular ride time is 5:30 p.m. but I think the group moved up to 5:00 p.m. very early and late in the season in order to get the ride in safely before dark.  Shall we say Tuesday, March 10th, 5:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Del Mar Highlands mall (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=101098298380244544441.000464c59e1f23d3e7ba8&t=h&z=17)?

We'll miss Karl as I think he's out of town at the moment...  Anyone else?

Thanks for the info Ron, I appreciate it. I'm hoping for one of the rides to start again in Vista, San Marcos or Escondido.

I know I haven't been around for a while, and I'm not sure of the interest in these rides now, but I can get off work by 3:00 and ready to ride fairly quickly, and just wanted to hook up with those that would be willing to meet somewhere between Vista and Escondido, otherwise I will just commute by bike, from Sorrento Valley to San Marcos on Tuesdays and Thursdays via Del Dios.

Any body else in the North County area interested in riding on a regular basis, say by 4:30ish?

There was talk at yoga class tonight among Jeff, Al, and me and we were thinking of starting March 31, as the early start last year caused us to rush the first few rides. Since there seems to be an enthusiastic interest this year, let's just celebrate St Pat's by starting March 17 instead. Let's keep the usual start time of 5:30 and if people really want to get out there a little earlier we can discuss on this Message Board. I was out of town for 12 days on a family emergency, so the website is finally updated. I put a note for the Tuesday ride on the Roadies page.

I am very interested in any mid-week rides in the Carlsbad/Vista/San Marcos area at 4:00 to 5:00pm'ish. There was a meeting spot at Costco last year for awhile.  Thanks, Christina

Go ahead and email me @ wayne.caldwell@cardinal.com and I will let you know some specific's of a ride that we do on Thurs @ 4:30pm, Riding from Laurie Harrison's house, located in San Marcos. We are meeting next Thurs for sure, then we will make plans for the coming weeks. I would like to be a part of the Home Depot ride again, we will see if there is enough interest in that ride again, most likely later on in the season.

I would like to keep the riding time at the traditional 5:30-7pm. I commuted today and got home at 7:10. Light was real good until 6:50-7pm, in my opinion. Anyway, anyone wanting to start early is OK to do that. I'm being a bit selfish as I just can't get away from work early enough most Tuesdays to start before 5:30. If a group starts early, try to leave a note on your windshield which direction you went so we can rendezvous. I known Dan and Sue (Sudan) started a ride at 4:30 last Tuesday. I also have a Tuesday "mailing list" which we have used the past couple years and put word out last Wed on that list after seeing all the Msg Brd activity, but, unfortunately it doesn't include everyone. I think the Message Board is a more open way to communicate your druthers. Directions to the ride start at Del Mar Highlands, btw, are at this link.
