So, who did the Pine Creek ride on Sunday.  Conincidentally I also happened to be doing it separately.  I saw the map for it on the club website and imported the Map My Ride route up Pine Crest into my Garmin to follow the course.  The roads on the map don't really match the real route.  Does anyone have a Garmin GPX file of the route you actually did?  The route you have posted seems to follow some dirt roads on the top and not the actual paved road.. but even the paved road on the google map doesn't really map the actual route that exists.

That climb was SICK  waa waa waaa.. had to stop to get my HR back down.

We came down Kitchen Creek.. and with switchbacks and dirt in the road I wasn't making up any time on the descent.   Also took La Posta to Cameron Corner and back Buckman Springs.. Not too long a ride but it took all day..

So who actually climbed.  I don't think it was Diana!!!! It was worse than Los Gatos.

The route at the top was mapped out manually using Google. We have done this about 5 times now. Just stay on the paved road is the only advice I have. On Sunday, Bill Kamm's back was tweaked so he and Diana opted for going back up Sunrise Hwy a ways. Diana did do the climb the first time we did it as a Sunday ride. Karl, Tony, Jiim Hutchings, Jim and Lee Schwarz did the climb. A small crew. The best way to get the route straight is to ride with the group. I will use my gpx file to make the route more accurate, but all you need to do is stay off the dirt.

Thanks Karl.  I did do the route and it was fine staying on the pavement.  My GPS file was hosed though and was hoping to see someone else's if they have one.  Could i get a copy of yours?

Or, if you post it to mapmyride, I can download it from there if I have the link.

Thanks,

Judy
