Considering a 3-5 Day Tour somewhere in California?

Been considering some kind of a 3-5 day cycling tour that would start maybe up around Tahoe and end up around Yosemite.  I looked into this online and these tour companies want almost 3k and only offer the trip a couple times per year.  Don't think I'll be paying 3k to ride my bike in my home state.  Anyway, after today's ride I was talking with a few people who had some great ideas.  I thought I would test the waters and see if anyone was interested in doing a trip in Fall and or Spring. 

Sandy brought up a great idea that if you bring as many people as days you are going to ride, each person would have one day to drive the support car and all the other days to ride.  With that in mind it seems that a route, hotels and a few logistics would be pretty reasonable to figure out. 

I would like to put a trip together for September/October somewhere scenic in California.  Maybe the coast, maybe the Central Mts?  Let me know your thoughts.  Maybe NC3 has already done something like this in the past.

I'll try to shoot you an email this week to get your thoughts.  Your trip sounds great, but I can't make the dates, I have family in town that week.  Maybe you can offer up some advice on the details.  Next Saturday, Chip and I will make some kind of announcement prior to the ride to see if anyone is interested.  How many people are going on your ride in September?
