If you ride Palomar keep an eye out!  Or if you know motorcycle riders
that frequent Palomar (a popular destination), forward to them in case
they recognize the rider/motorcycle below.

Also, if you have access to other bike e-mail lists in the area, please forward Matt's message to the list. One curious thing: from the description of the accident, I'd think the damage to the moto would be on the left side, not the right as in the photo - I've e-mailed Matt for clarification.

Bad news from one of our Celo guys, Matt. He did the Torrey Pines 100 with Pete on 4th of July. Reason to be extra extra cautious up and down Palomar. Maybe someone can suggest what to do about the crazy motorcycle guys?

Riders,

Here's the deal...

While climbing Palomar Sunday morning I was hit by a motorcycle who subsequently fled the scene...

The motorcycle while descending crossed the double solid line into my lane and struck me near the guard rail at the extreme right hand side of the road.....

He left me laying there in the road with a mangled bike, a split helmet and a concussion.

I spent the day in the ER and being transported by medics.

Rick Clemson Photography got a picture of the dude as he took off but no license plate is visible, you can clearly see the impact points on the side of the fairing.

If you or anybody else knows this dude, or maybe somebody that just needs body-work done to a Red and White Honda F4, Please let me know. I also posted this on Craigslist Motorcyle Forums as well.

This is a photo of the guy that hit and ran!

Thanks

Matt(the skinny guy with the long hair)

That bottom photo -- when viewed full/original resolution -- probably has a readable license plate number?
