Annual Sunset Beach Ride on Aug. 7th

Several rides have asked for a few details on this yearly ride.

The full route is from Old Town to Sunset Beach and return.
Leaving at 04:00 and will be back well before dark.
180+ miles roundtrip
Elevation gain is only around 4000 ft.

Optional Magee Park-Carlsbad pick-up on the way north before 06:00.
This will be about 120 miles RT. Several riders are doing this. No cost.

We PLAN to ride in a gruppo at normal rando cruising pace.

PS: OH, last Saturday nights Kitchen Creek 62 mile ride was nice. Perfect temps and we were dodging Tarantulas on the climb! Saw at least 8 cars on the whole route! Finished off with a 40mph Sunrise Highway 14 mile downhill! How crazy is that? Even Sam T. finished without a flat!
More "moonlight madness" rides planned... Wilderness Trail looks good.
