> >> My name is Darrell Steele and I coordinate the Saturday bike ride for the TCSD. I wanted to make you and your members aware of a driver who this last Saturday tried to run several of us off the road in Oceanside. He was driving an older white Buick, see attached. When confronted at the next signal he got out of his car, became very confrontational and admitted he tried to run them off the road because they "did not belong."

This is definitely not a new experience.  It's a good idea to take out your cell phone and start taking pictures of the car and license plate and if the individual gets out it may help do calm the aggression.  Then call the police.  This is assault with a deadly weapon

Darrell did send in pictures and license plate to the NCCC inbox. The license plate was 3DGP330. He gave the police both the license numbers and pictures of both the car and the driver. A good example for any of us to follow should we run into the same. - Karl

Hi! All. Havent posted  in awhile but can't let this one go without comment. FYI-Any agressive action commited by or from within a moving vehicle towards any individual not in the vehicle is a felony in the state of California. As silly as it may sound, the simple act of flicking a cigaret butt out the window at someone falls within the definition of this law. It has teeth! Don't engage this person. Get pictures and report it.  Be safe out there.  >:(
