Hello - I have 175 used bikes and not enough volunteers to keep up with our repair schedule.  Would you mind posting a request for my charity's Holiday Baskets program?  I'm hoping to get at least 10 more volunteers to help us meet our deadline.  We fix used bikes and give them as gifts to kids and teens in need.  I have 7 more days to get these bikes finished and need more help.  Please forward this message on to any of your bike enthusiast friends who can volunteer some time to this worthy cause.  Here are the open access hours at our Del Mar Fairgrounds site:

TUES/WED/THUR - December 7, 8, 9
4PM to 8PM

SATURDAY - December 11
9AM to 3PM

SUNDAY - Dec 12
9AM to 3PM

TUES/WED/THUR - December 14,15, 16
4PM to 8PM

PLEASE EMAIL ME AT scolby@crcncc.org if you are a first-time volunteer so that I can give you details and parking info.

If you are a returning volunteer or coming to the site with one, please just come by when you can.  Please read the notes in the Bike Repair area and the repair tags on the bikes.  If a bike has no tag, no one has worked on it yet.  Please tag bikes that you work on so that we all know status.

Tools - we have a compressor, parts, inner tubes, and that's about it.  If you have your own tools, please bring them because ours are not that great.

Note:  High traffic at the fairgrounds on DEC 11 & 12.  Volunteers may need to park cars further away from the venue than usual.  Fairgrounds attendants will advise when you arrive.  Cyclists can ride into the building.

Okay to publish my email address and info in this email on your Facebook, Websites, or in newsletters.  Thanks very much!  --Suzie
