NCCC dues are annually renewed during the month of May. For the first time, you will be able to renew and pay online. Just follow the instructions under Members. You should also get an email announcing the on-line renewal opening. If you did not, sign up right away so that the club will have a valid email address for you. With the new membership system, you will be responsible for keeping your email up to date - just press the Login button under Members and then "Edit Profile" to change any of your information at any time - no need to communicate with board members to get this done manually anymore.

At least 3 people have wondered why you could not put in a donation when renewing your membership, right on the form. The answer is that we use 3rd party software, aMember PRO, for handling the membership database, payments, renewals, and there is no option for a payment of unspecified amount. That is why I added the Donate button, which is independent of aMember PRO. That button can be used ANY time during the year and is independent of your membership renewal. It was also included in your Welcome to NCCC follow-up email. Looking at past records, several members added $5 or $10 or whatever during their annual renewal as it was convenient to just add a little more to the check. This does help the club. I'll work with aMember PRO to try and add this capability in the future (we're not the first to request it). In the meantime, if the mood should strike you, please just go to the Membership page to make that donation - it's a simple extra transaction with your credit card or PayPal login.

Congratulations, everyone. 50 managed to renew the first weekend. Ron Downing wins the award for the first to signup, within minutes from the mass email announcement. Burt Reiff was only about 30 seconds behind. We're more than 40% renewed, so come on, peloton, it's easy for the remaining 60% to cross the finish line!

We now have 118 121 142 [June 7 edit] members signed up or renewed. However, it is May 31 June 7, and there still are approximately 70 48 2010 members who have yet to renew. Besides all the goodies this small fee provides (July 4 and Holiday festivities, this website, discounts on NCCC clothing), it is important to be a member to be covered under our general liability insurance should the unforeseen occur on a ride. It's really easy to do this year as the majority has so far shown, so go for it!

I'm going to "unstick" this thread as everyone did a great job of going online to renew or signup this year. We have 163 members and counting (slowly now). We're done. If you read this and still intend to renew, it's never too late.
