I've been anxiously following weather conditions at http://www.wunderground.com/US/CA/Mount_Laguna.html (scroll down and click on Sunday, June 12 for details) for this Sunday's ride, which we cancelled 3 weeks ago due to 25-35mph winds (gusts to 55) and 41 deg. It looks to be sunny and mid to high 60's while riding. However, the forecast earlier for wind was only 3-5 mph. Today, they expect 5-10 mph through noon, increasing to 14 mph at 6pm. I personally want to keep it on schedule, but please feel free to reply here if you want to ride and would prefer to put it off once again.

Current Friday report is low winds (< 10mph) in Pine Valley, winds in low teens (12-16 mph) at the top of Mt Laguna. I've received nothing but positive responses in emails from riders who plan to ride. - karl

Karl,

I'll be there.  From what I see on weather.com the temperature looks absolutely perfect and wind is expected to peak at no more than 10 MPH on Mt. Laguna.

Doesn't get much better than that.  I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully we'll have a big group.  Epic ride.

This morning, the forecast shows only 8mph winds at noon Sunday. From the responses I've got in separate emails, the ride is a GO!

Karl, meet at the Descanso Park and Ride or at Sunrise Highway?  I may have a few with me.

For future reference, ALL ride start locations are on the ride start link on Sunday rides. Each location, Pine Valley included, has a Google Map link so you can get detailed directions from anywhere. Also, if you hover your mouse over the Roadies button, you will also get the "Ride start direction" menu item: Roadies > Ride start directions.

We had a great ride today - 13 enthusiastic riders, half of whom attacked the 4 mi, 2100' elev gain of Pine Creek!

Amazing day.

Right now I'm feeling more like I was attacked by Pine Creek than like I attacked it. Hardest climb I have ever done.

I really thought I was going to quit.

My wife and every friend I have ever had is sick of hearing about it  --and I've only been home 4 hours.
