OK, I just registered for the Temecula Century on Oct 8.
Since this is my first organized century in the United States, I'm not really sure how things work.

On their website it says: "We recommend that you PICKUP YOUR Ride BAG during the PRE-EVENT MIXER FRIDAY OCTOBER 7th..."
What the frick is a "ride bag"?  I obviously won't be there on Oct 7th.

Also, "...packet pick up will be available between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. at the Information Booth at Registration."
What's in this packet?  The ride starts at 7:00, so if I arrive at 6:35 and miss the 6:30 cutoff to pick up the "packet", I won't get the "packet"?  Lol.

How will I know where to make turns on the course if I'm by myself?

Are there refreshment stands along the course?
Go to this page http://www.temeculavalleycentury.com/?page_id=8 and about halfway down, it says "REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES".  At registration they'll give you a bag with some coupons, samples, etc.  On the list it says that the stops will have food, fruit and water.

You can get a copy of the routeslip at http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/38287892  The water stops are marked.

If you don't get the packet you still do the ride.  The packet might have a pin on number in it but nobody pays attention at the rest stops.

I think it will be easiest to just follow Anthony or Ursula (or both, or whoever else rides).
I read on the Temecula Century webpage that thre will be a lunch served halfway through the ride?!?!

We'll take care of you, Nerius. We just need some of your monster pulls.

I'll help with the bottles up the hill. I signed up today.  :P

For those of you that haven't signed up yet, you can enter this code for $10 off registration.  Also note that registration goes up $20 after this Friday the 9th.
TVELOSPECIAL  - is the code and it is case sensitive.  I met a guy on Saturdays ride and he just emailed me the code for the discount.  He is with the Temecula bike club organizing the ride I think.
