All, since our monthly Newsletter is currently on hold in search of a volunteer editor, anyone who is in a writing mood with a cycling tale to share can just write it up (photos are nice, too) and send it to me at admin@northcountycycleclub.com, whereby I can set it up as a regular Feature Article page on the website, with a nice lead in from the NCCC home page. We will also be compiling a Newsletter from selected pages of the website, so that people either without internet access or who prefer a paper newsletter in the mail will receive this compilation - the new Feature Articles section to be included, along with regular News and Ride Schedules. These Feature Articles will also be archived so that anyone can bring them up in the future (or even search for them from our website).

send me your stuff!

Since these articles will be posted on the website, please refrain from using personal info (phone numbers, email and home addresses, social security numbers  ;) etc.) as anyone will be able to view these. This will also allow safe archival of these interest articles, the primary reason why copies of our old Newsletters are not accessible on our website.

Thanks to Dee for jump starting the writing of feature articles (see our home page)! We also could use some more 2010 photos to adorn the Photo Gallery (see this link for upload instructions).

Go to the NCCC home page or to Club Info > Feature Articles to see the latest feature article by Sean. Since the Newsletter appears to be in a permanent stall - maybe we don't need it anyway as nearly everyone gets their NC3 info from the website - this is the only way to get features published. These special member-written articles were, for me, a key feature of the old Newsletter (which all prior editors will tell you is a lot of labor to produce each month), as all the other information re: ride schedules and special announcements have always been on the website.

So please keep the Feature Articles coming (haven't had one in a while from Kellyjay !) and these will always be archived on the website for posterity.

Anyone in a writing mood for the NCCC Home Page? The thrill and chill of the Pie Ride has worn off and we need some new reading material. - Karl

On a recent ride, someone asked why there hasn't been any more new Feature Articles on our Home Page. Despite the great photos and super writeup, they were getting tired of reading about Burt's grand European adventure. Anyone with a tale to tell (photos are nice, too) is welcome to try their hand at penmanship. Everyone loves this stuff and it will remain on the website forever, guaranteeing you a place in literary history.

So, pen up!

OK, Beth Williams stepped up and added a new article. Go to the NCCC Home page or just click on Articles where it will always be located.
Thanks, Beth  8) !
