Hello all.
Well after many fits and starts we are on the way to ordering our new team uniforn. The website to order direct from VOLER has been built and clothing is on it to be ordered. The fit kit will be shipped this coming Monday the 16th of August.
I asked VOLER to not open the store until we have the fit kit in our hands. Assuming that it takes less than 5 days to get here from Grover Beach CA, it will be at the Saturday, August 21 club ride. I am also trying to arrange a fit night during a weekday at the Lake San Marcos Country Club.

Oh yeah. I mentioned that I was going to put this on the message started by Diana. I linked to this one from there.

If you are a current North County Cycle Club member, you should have received an email from me. It is a test email to ensure that I have your correct email address. Also an update on the fit kit.
Dolores and I crossed checked her deposits against our member spreadsheet for verification. If you didn't receive an email. Then you either did not have one on your 2010 application. Or, you are not a 2010 member.

 A few questions have been asked about the jereys and ordering process. I will send out an email with these questions and answers this evening. I have also sorted out some of the bounced back emails and have a complete mail list.... I think

I think it might be a good idea to send a hard-copy mailer to everyone in the club with details on how to order the new kits, as complete reliance on email will no doubt accidentally leave someone out (for example, the club had my incorrect email address and I wouldn't have noticed this if I hadn't checked the Message Board for the third post in this thread). Although most everyone is "on-line", there are a few who are not, and I'm guessing the email list is still not perfect. Since the ordering window is just 3 weeks, it would be good to let everyone know. Also, in the past, even when we had our on-line NCCC form, we did offer a hard-copy form for orders. For the 2007 and 2008 orders there were about half a dozen people who preferred that. Is such a form available for the upcoming order? [EDIT: In the past, we had an active Newsletter, so that always provided clothing order notification to the non-emailers, including a copy of the order form. Since there is no Newsletter now, this mailer would serve the same purpose.]

[EDIT: p.s. As Carol used to say, "every idea requires a volunteer...". I would be happy to create the hard-copy form if I can get a list of items and prices. I created the last 2 forms and this would be an easy edit.]

And my wife added this suggestion to save  trees: only send the hard-copy forms to those in the club who have indicated on the membership form that they prefer to receive hard-copy Newsletters via postal mail instead of email. That just requires everyone else to make sure their email address is up to date with the club. Ride leaders could announce that if anyone hasn't received the emails so far, that means their email address is not up to date.

I think that I have everyone that is a member on the email blast. I did get a few returned with unknown email addresses. I called them, and straightened it out. Reading a person's handwriting can be a challenge some times.
Most of those that had requested a hard copy newsletter also had an email address. So I sent them a copy about the uniforms as well. There were two without email addresses and I called them to see if they were interested. One was. And one wasn't.
So like I said, I have everyone that is a member on the email blast. Maybe one of the issues here is there are people might think that they are members but in fact didn't send in a 2010 app. I can understand that this can happen. But like I said earlier. If you didn't get an email. Then you probably aren't a member as Dolores and I dilligently crossed referenced her deposits against the member applications.
There may be some applications in transition. But Dolores and I have agreed that she will send these names to me via email and then transfer them to me as hard copies when I see her.

I was at the Saturday ride and did not see any Fit Kit.  Is it postponed to another week?  I thought someone said this coming Saturday but just wanted to make sure.

 We are still waiting on the rest of the fit kit. A few items were missing from the first shipment. It may be there when I get home. Voler seems to ship mid week. Rather than put out an emergency email, I'll plan next weekend for sure. Also will try to set up a fitting at Lake San Marcos Country Club via Diane either during the week (Thursday night). Or the following Monday (Labor Day).

Hello 2010 NCCC members.
Look for an email today on when and where we will be with the fit kit. All is here. The on line store will open right after the first fit day.
These are custom kits. So you will not be able to return them once they are ordered. That is why I want to wait until you have had an opportunity to try them on first.

Check your email. You should be receiving the date and location for the final fit day.
Also, with the VOLER on-line ordering system, we do not have to purchase additional kits for new members. It will just be a matter of waiting until there is sufficient demand and opening the store for a few weeks for the members to order. I also do not believe that there is a minimum purchase requirement on the additional group buys.
The store will be opening soon.

The VOLER NCCC store is now open. You all should have recieved an email from me with instructions on how to log in and purchase your clothing. I'm sure you all will be pleasantly surprised with the prices.
The FINAL FIT DAY is this Saturday, September 11 @ 7:00 a.m. I will be by the restrooms at OCRR.
