Took some videos with my GoPro on the Saturday long ride.  Unfortunately the camera battery died while shooting the Bandy Canyon climb but I got a few other ones before that.  Also had a video of last weeks ride heading down El Camino Real towards Encinitas.
This link points to my youtube home page and I'll upload more videos in the future so keep checking back.

That Jesmond Dene descent  is scary. Do we go that fast? Good job staying on the pavement. I'll close my eyes next time.

Chip987

Don't worry Karl, the video makes it look much faster than it is.

Added some more videos from the Saturday Regular hill climb ride.  Some of the videos I took going up hills I was standing while pedaling and it made the camera rock back and forth too much.  Made me nautious to watch so I didn't post those.  (Alicante and Coronado Hills) The one with the barfing jogger on El Furte turned out ok though.   :D
Currently uploading as of 9pm 7/23/11.  videos are around 150+ mb so takes a while.  I'll finish uploading tomorrow.

Added a few more videos from the Sunday long ride today.  8/21/11
Still uploading now and will add some more tomorrow.

Hey Chip...glad to see the camera is still working.  It took some abuse on the Saturday ride!

Tony

Chip,

I think we all really appreciate you taking videos of our rides.  It is fun to watch since we never get to see what we really look like on a bike.  So, thank you for doing this for us.

Ursula

Yeah, Ursula is right.  I've been showing these videos to some friends and they think it's really cool.

Do you have the HD camera that's capable of doign 1080p or just the cheaper Hero 960?  Do you need to buy the flash card storage separately?  Is this what you use for your helmet: http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/vented-helmet-strap-mount/  ??

Chip, can you post last Saturday's video when the camera flew off your bars down Welks? Would love to see that!

Chip987

Sorry Joe, didn't have the camera on when it fell off.  That would have been pretty neat to watch.
Nerius, I have the GoPro 960 that can shoot 1080P.  I only have it set to 960P though to keep file sizes smaller. They come with a bunch of attachments.  I used a sticky one to mount to my helmet.
Thanks Ursula, I think it gives a different perspective for people to see themselves, plus show others what we do.   I wish I had the camera on when the idiots threw the beer can at us.   >:(
