TOUCH THE BEACH RIDE. Shine 'em and grease 'em to join a new long ride starting from OCRR on Saturday March 10th. The ride will head south crossing lake hodges before turing west towards 4S ranch (part of Rancho Bernardo). We then head south again hitting Black Mountain Road before turing west taking Calle Cristobal to the coast. We briefly hit the 101 before heading east back through Del Mar on Carmel Valley road and then north through Rancho Santa Fe with a return climb of Del Dios back to OCRR.

Below is the link to Ride with GPS for a map of the route.

Ride will be cancelled if it snows.....and if we could get Frank to join us on a Saturday ride he might get you a cool crown. While the roads are hardly rural, there may be a bigfoot sighting. No lights required, no trash bag wearing required, hopefully no dog bites.

And Lastly....the ride will be dedicated to Lynn, Anthony Scozzari's wife, who is fighting the big fight.

Lastly again......someone please make sure Wade shows up for this ride....no lame injury excuses. If Jeff can ride with a broken hip then Wade should be able to join us. Then again, he has not been sighted since the Great Bilzzard Ride of 2011. I'm thinking Donner Party?

Sounds like a great loop, but I was so looking forward to Sean's "Elfin E Ticket" ride.  Except for maybe Nerius, I am sure we all remember those Disneyland tickets.  Anyway, looking forward to seeing our long lost Wade  ;) and expecting Sean to wear green in lieu of his rerouted Elfin ride. ;D

Darn, I'm gonna be driving to Arizona on March 10 for my week-long PAC Tour.

Thanks for the kind words and support!!  I should be able to make it too.

Is there a stop at Stone Brewing as we roll past?

Dear Mr. William Turek,

The first step is admitting you have a problem. There has been some spceulation in the club for some time about an alcohol order coming from your water bottles. It's clear if you cannot make it through a bike ride without hitting the sauce you do in fact have a problem. So, if you are sober enough to show up for the ride on Saturday do not be surprised to find friends and family staging an intervention. Then again, it may be better for friends and family to stage the intervention at Stone, that way we can have a few while we help you kick the habit.

Stay strong my friend...one day at a time......

If this was a Bert ride we would ride right through the Beer Garden and grab a cold one.

My wife Cathy read through the last post. Her years of experience as an editor with the North County Times and other newspapers has given her great insight to the condition of an author. Her professional opinion is that Sean was inebriated when writing his missive.

Man, I love this club. Haven't had a good intervention in years - can't wait for Saturday!

Sounds liek a great loop! Weather looks great.

Great now Paul is getting in on the action :)

Paul's wife may have a good point, I do enjoy a cold one now and then. A few months at Betty Ford might just do the trick. Paul can you please ask your wife to edit a short article about a fund raising event to pay for my stay at Betty Ford. I figure for a few months 30 grand should do. I will also be passing the hat, at Stone, at Bill's intervention to pay for my vacation at Betty Ford.

Then again, if Bill and I go we could get a twofer deal. Paul can we raise club fees to approximately $650 per year per member to cover Bill and my rehab costs? Or maybe our insurance covers mild addiction.

Disclaimer....it's all in fun......do not try this at home....now of this is true.....
