Prior to the roll out this past Saturday morning, a few of the regulars were discussing riding the Tour de Poway 62 mile metric century. Anyone interested in riding tempo as a group?

Hope all is well.

I may decide to do the route. I have done the metric century a couple of times and prefer it over the century (because those are the roads we always do). I felt it really was more of a "Tour of Poway" as opposed to an "NCCC repeat". Good ride and it supports KC Butler's efforts.

Thanks Karl.
I also prefer the metric course over the full century. I'll touch base with you this weekend.

I will probably just make Tour de Poway metric the Sunday ride for Oct. 4 as that is the typical mileage we do. Just need to figure out a start time amenable to everyone (we normally start Sundays at 8:30).

Joe,

I'm in and I'm pretty sure the Chip is in as well.  Maybe we should have a little planning bbq at my place here in Poway in the next couple weeks if anyone's interested.

Steve

Excellent. A BBQ or some sort of get together sounds like fun. Only have 4 weeks to go though so lets pick a date. We can discuss/decide on the particulars at the ride tomorrow or next Saturday.

I'm in.  I was going to do the full century but if there's a group doing the metric, I'll do that instead.  Besides, riding with you guys will probably be harder than doing the full century by myself.  ;D

Hey, I'm hoping to be a guest on Saturday's ride Sep 12, but I've been eyeing the Poway ride and the 62 sounds just about right. If I decide to join the club, I'd love to join y'all in the 62 Tour!
